In October 2007 Sugarloaf Mountain
Vineyard held our first annual “Stomp” event, a fall celebration of
winemaking that features a friendly competition of guests, friends and
family pressing red grapes with their feet, a la Lucille Ball. We had
more grapes than feet, and the remaining unstomped bounty did not go to
waste. Stomp is a light, off-dry red which can be paired with chocolate
and desserts, but is probably best on its own. Serve Chilled. Drink now!

2007 Stomp
Sugarloaf produced this off-dry, easy drinking
red to reflect the revelry of those October afternoons. With its light
red color, aromas of summer berry desserts are present. On the palate,
the wine exhibits red fruit components of cranberry and raspberry.
Stomp’s fruity finish lingers with racy elements of cinnamon and clove.
