Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard’s Pinot Grigio has established the grape as a Mid Atlantic varietal and delivers the original ambition of a wine too often trivialized by overproduced imports. The most exuberant white on our list, this wine is made with classical deference to the fruit, resulting in a luscious and concentrated wine of layered citrus nuance and peerless palate vitality. Pinot Grigio’s great affinity with seafood, herb pastas, prosciutto, focaccia, and warm weather dining is captured within this wine’s style. It is meant to be enjoyed young, within 1 to 2 years.

Bronze Medalist: 2010 International Eastern Wine Competition
Bronze Medalist: 2010 Maryland Winemasters' Choice Awards
With its pale straw color, Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard Pinot Grigio offers enticing aromas of melon, grapefruit, and slate with hints of honeysuckle and lemon. On the palate, the wine offers nice body and roundness from the Maryland Chardonnay used in the final blend. Layers of citrus, boxwood and green apple abound with a steely minerality and refreshing acidity. Hints of lemon and saffron shine through along with a clean finish reminiscent of grapefruit and lemon zest. Just released!
