The 2008 Revolution Winery Independence Rosé of Merlot is inspired by the elegant and crisp flavors of the rosés from France's Southern Rhône and Provence. Like the best of these wines, we consider our Independence as a red wine meant to be chilled. Made by “La methôde saignée” (How French vignerons refer to the “bleeding off” of juice after this skin contact), this dry Rosé was barrel fermented and oak aged to enhance its character and complexity. Excellent as a “stand-alone” aperitif, this robust rosé will pair with grilled white meat and dark fish (salmon, sword, tuna) and any dessert featuring fresh fruit. Independence is ready to consume anytime. Serve chilled.

2008 Revolution Independence Rosé
Revolution’s Independence Rosé of Merlot is more of a red wine than a pink wine. This robust, medium-bodied Rosé demonstrates surprising complexity. With a rusty red hue, the bouquet exhibits strawberry, red currant and toast with hints of citrus and quince. On the palate, the wine’s red pedigree comes through with flavors of strawberry jam, citrus and exotic spices, along with a racy, peppery finish.
