In mythology, Comus is the god of revelry and merriment.
The son of Bacchus and Circe, Comus tempts mortals with a life
of pleasure. Comus represents Maryland winemaking at its finest; a Bordeaux-style blend utilizing the five traditional varietals from the 2011 harvest to achieve a wine of unsurpassed depth and complexity. This premium wine demonstrates the potential of the mid-Atlantic region and is certainly worthy of its namesake.

2011 Comus
Best of Class: Bordeaux Style Red Blend - 2013 International Eastern Wine Competition
Gold Medalist: 2013 International Eastern Wine Competition
Elegant in nose: plums, spicy and minerals. The 2011 Comus is a splendid Bordeaux blend with a bright garnet hue. Rich medium bodied wine, well balanced with flavors of plums, blackcurrant, minerals, and hints of spicy that combine harmoniously with medium toast French oak. The wine finishes strong with suggestion of earthy and roast coffee notes. Comus pairs well with tenderloin, pork roast and game.
