This signature wine at Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard is a blend of the five Bordeaux varietals, and shows amazing complexity, depth and character in a Mid-Atlantic red wine.

2010 Comus - Just released!
The exceptional 2010 Comus is strong in color and character. This full-bodied wine expresses aromas of blackcurrant, raisin, black pepper, figs and tobacco. In the mouth, Comus is very well structured and shows hints of chocolate and mocha. The persistence of the flavors on the palate lingers Pair the 2010 Comus with slow roasted meats. Excellent now, the Comus will continue to develop for the next three years and will age gracefully for up to 8 years.

The 2009 Comus is a vivacious Bordeaux blend with a clean garnet hue. This medium bodied wine exhibits aromas of clove, blackberry and currant with notes of cinnamon and vanilla. On the palate, the wine conveys flavors of cedar, black currant, toast and roasted hazelnut. With finely developed tannins, Comus finishes smoothly while lingering with spicy hints of dark chocolate, black pepper and mocha. Pair the 2009 Comus with slow roasted meats and any dish that could benefit from an element of spice. Excellent now, the Comus will continue to develop for the next three years and will age gracefully for up to 5 years.
