In mythology, Circe is a powerful enchantress who transforms mortals with her potions. Daughter of the Sun and mother of Comus, the goddess has charms that few can resist. Circe is a youthful, easy-drinking red wine. A blend of the five Bordeaux varietals, Circe demonstrates that fruit-forward early release wines can still have outstanding flavor depth and a complex character. This finely balanced wine will pair well with grilled meats and vegetables along with dark chocolate. Ready to consume now, the Circe will improve with age over the next 3 - 4 years.

2009 Circe
Just released!
This young, heady medium-bodied red with intense ruby and brick red hue exhibits surprising complexity for a young wine. The bouquet exudes deep, nuanced aromatics of cassis, toast and roasted almond along with earthy notes of truffle and saffron. The palate expresses elements of blackberry and red currant along with hints of dried herb and clove. Dry, subtle tannins fill the mouth with flavor and the wine finishes strong with the suggestion of black pepper and dried herb.
