Maryland wines are getting more and more recognition these days, and the New York Times has picked up the buzz. SMV is one of the wineries featured in the recent online article, “Vineyard Hopping, in Maryland?” by Shivani Vora. Ms. Vora and her husband traveled from New York City for a tour of Maryland’s Wine Region, and found “vintages worthy of national recognition.” Be sure to check out the Interactive Map where you can see photos of each location on their tour, and other links to the Maryland wine trails and the wineries featured. SMV In the News on Examiner.com

Wine Examiner Anthony Layman visited SMV recently and reports on several events in his article postings on Examiner.com. “Grape Stomp 2009” brings our annual event alive, “a classic and appropriate chant from the crowd was heard in unison, ‘Stomp them grapes, Stomp them grapes.’ In the end, Traci would prove victorious by a large margin.” In “Grape Expectations”, Mr. Layman writes “it is always exciting to learn about how the owners fell in love with wine, what the philosophy is from [their] perspective…”, and shares the SMV story and discusses our wines.
His most recent article “And the Bacchanals cried, ’Evoe!”, discusses our November 7th new wine release event. Check them out, share with friends, post a comment.
